Restore Scar work Method
The Treatment is to the patient’s comfort level and involves gentle hands-on massage and you will be provided with useful advice and support for care at home.
Treatment can begin as soon 3 weeks after completion of radiotherapy or when the patient feels comfortable to attend the clinic. It is also never too late to treat a scar. No matter how old a scar is it can benefit from the Restore Scar work Method.
Recovery using the Restore Method™ along with years of Osteopathic experience provides a Holistic approach:
- Physical, Emotional, Self-Care, Fascial Restriction, Scar Massage, adhesions and most importantly support within the Community when the dust settles after Cancer treatment.
Why is Scar Therapy for Oncology Surgery recommended?
Scar tissue is less functional than regular tissue. As your body heals after surgery, scar tissue forms. It is fibrotic and less mobile. Like twine versus an elastic band. Our skin and tissues need the stretch of an elastic band to create ease of movement. Adhesions may also form sticking layers of tissues together under the skin. Radiotherapy can also contribute to fibrosis.

Scars Treated
Once Scar treatment begins, you will see immediate changes to your range of motion, feeling of comfort and cosmetic changes to the scar itself.
